This seminar presented the findings of a systematic review of the use of simulation in the continuing education of healthcare professionals.
20 May: Centre for Excellence in work-based Learning for Educational Professionals - Institute of Education, University of London

Sessions focused on: the student experience in mixed mode professional courses; formative e-assessment; approaches to technology-enhanced professional courses and models of ICT CPD; the role and use of technologies in work-based learning; the use of mobile devices, display technologies and audiographic web-conferencing for teaching and learning and the use of innovative methods to support reflective practice around the use of collaborative technologies.

This seminar reported the findings of research into the experience of projects run at Hull and Staffordshire and give participants a flavour of peer observation online.

This seminar explored and critically reflected on technologies as drivers of change given the needs of an increasingly diverse teacher and student population.
11 June: Liverpool Community College

The seminar explored an action based research process that has informed institutional practice in the use of e-technology to support both staff CPD and teaching of students with specific learning differences / dyslexia. Seminar participants had the opportunity to interact with various features of the E-learning Dyslexia Resource via the college’s VLE.
