Involving departments in pedagogic change

Page history last edited by Nick Livsey 15 years, 1 month ago

It is claimed that involving departments in a focused 'review' process leads to pedagogic change.

Evidence from the ELESIG meeting in support of this included:

  • Use of the Change Academy model at departmental level within an institution engaged staff in promoting change (involving e-learning)
  • Wider use of technology by academics is an example of a measurable indication of such change, as are differences in the application of technology between departments
  • Reports on observations of practice
  • Requests received for training
  • Development of new assessment tasks within an institution where this had been trialled

Questions remain about how such change should be sustained.
