4 March: University of Central Lancashire

This seminar demonstrated how TAG is used to enable students to develop realistic expectations of university, with particular focus on academic expectations.

 

17 May: Thames Valley University

This seminar presented the findings of a systematic review of the use of simulation in the continuing education of healthcare professionals.

 

20 May: Centre for Excellence in work-based Learning for Educational Professionals -  Institute of Education, University of London

Sessions focused on: the student experience in mixed mode professional courses; formative e-assessment; approaches to technology-enhanced professional courses and models of ICT CPD; the role and use of technologies in work-based learning; the use of mobile devices, display technologies and audiographic web-conferencing for teaching and learning and the use of innovative methods to support reflective practice around the use of collaborative technologies.

25 May: University of Sheffield

A key aim of this seminar was to provide examples with evidence which can be used to encourage colleagues to adopt technology to enhance their teaching, including the use of VLE and audio recording devices and the generation of interactive or animated materials

26 May: University of Hull

This seminar reported the findings of research into the experience of projects run at Hull and Staffordshire and give participants a flavour of peer observation online.

 

4 June: University of Hertfordshire

This seminar provided an opportunity to discuss how EVS and wiki technologies have been used at the University of Hertfordshire to successfully enhance the student learning experience.

This seminar explored and critically reflected on technologies as drivers of change given the needs of an increasingly diverse teacher and student population.

 

11 June: Liverpool Community College

The seminar explored an action based research process that has informed institutional practice in the use of e-technology to support both staff CPD and teaching of students with specific learning differences / dyslexia. Seminar participants had the opportunity to interact with various features of the E-learning Dyslexia Resource via the college’s VLE.
